Welcome to the working pages of NooJ

These pages are for the community of NooJ developers and users. The official pages for the NooJ software are located at http://www.nooj4nlp.net/ and maintained by the author of NooJ, Max Silberztein. These wiki pages are intended to supplement the official pages.

NooJ is a grammatical framework and software for parsing and processing corpora. NooJ is based on the idea of local grammars which are used for describing idioms, phrases and constructions. Lexicons and grammars for a large number of languages have been built using NooJ, see the NooJ site for a sample. Technical details, including the downloading, programming languages used and operating system and hardware requirements can also be found at the NooJ site.
